Chika Aizu

Chika Aizu, a native of Tokyo, Japan, moved to the United States in 1998 and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Visual Communication from Oberlin College. Ms. Aizu joined The Chesler Group in 2005 as Project Manager for the Intellectual Property Division, focusing on the Japanese market. Ms. Aizu has become heavily involved with The Chesler Group's construction business in recent years and now runs the construction for ASM International renovation project. Coming from her father's business in electrical/HVAC contracting in Japan, she continues to grow in The Chesler Group's historic restoration business as well as the International Licensing business. In her leisure time, Ms. Aizu runs a non-profit association she founded in 2005 that promotes Salsa music and dancing in Cleveland.

Lisa Chesler

Lisa Chesler is General Counsel for the Chesler Group. In 1988, Ms. Chesler received her Bachelor's Degree with Honors in Political Science from the University of Cincinnati. In 1991, she received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Toledo College of Law and began her 10 year litigation career with the firm of Weston Hurd Fallon Paisley and Howley in Cleveland, Ohio. Ms. Chesler is past President of the Cleveland Association of Civil Trial Attorneys, a former columnist of the Ohio Association of Civil Trial Attorneys Journal and arbitrator for the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas.

Mr. Chesler is the President and Founder of The Chesler Group, Inc.—a unique company with diverse operations. His local work in preserving historic commercial properties has earned him numerous awards from the American Institute of Architects, the Cleveland Restoration Society, the Summit County Historical Society, Progress Through Preservation, and others. Most recently, Chesler received the 2009 Ohio Historic Preservation Award from the Ohio Historical Society. He is a 1982 Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Case Western Reserve University where he presently serves on the board of the College of Arts and Sciences. He also serves on the boards of Recovery Resources and Heritage Ohio. After spending many years living in Japan as an analyst in the Tokyo office of Time Magazine, he founded The Chesler Group in 1988 to help American companies and institutions export their intellectual properties and products to Asian markets. Over time, The Chesler Group has expanded into a variety of areas, most notably the preservation and redevelopment of historic properties and mobile software development.

Benjamin Davis

Benjamin Davis joined The Chesler Group after graduating from Hocking College in the fall of 2010, where he earned an Associate's Degree in Applied Sciences. Before college, Benjamin served in the United States Marine Corps. During his enlistment, he was deployed three times in support of the Global War on Terrorism—one tour in Afghanistan and two in Iraq. He was honorably discharged from the Marine Corps in the fall of 2007 as a Sergeant. The experience and lessons he learned during his service are still applied to his everyday life and work. When he is away from work, he enjoys the outdoors as well as spending time with those closest to him.

Jeff Klecka

Construction Foreman/Master Electrician

Jeff Klecka has been working with The Chesler group since 1994. He is a master electrician and has 27 years of experience in the commercial electrical environment. Further, Mr. Klecka is also skilled artisan carpenter and cabinet maker. He has been involved with all of the historic restoration projects The Chesler Group has undertaken. When not building or wiring something, he can be found on the summit of a mountain, climbing a rock face, hiking, biking or kayaking. Mr. Klecka is a volunteer for the Lake County Metroparks and is a member of Cleveland Rock Gym, Chagrin River Canoe and Kayak Club and the Keel-haulers Canoe Club.

Deborah McDonald

Deborah McDonald received her bachelor's degree from Miami University in Marketing and International Business. She then lived in rural Japan before joining The Chesler Groupin 1991. She worked for The Chesler Group in their international department and continued her international career with a toy and candy company. Ms. McDonald took a break from her career to raise her four children, and was pleased to come back to The Chesler Group in 2010 as a Project Manager. She is currently working on the ASM project. She is one of the founders and Chair for the Friends of the Sudanese Lost Boys of Cleveland, a local non-profit organization that provides support and raises funds for the education of Sudanese refugees in Cleveland. In her spare time, Ms. McDonald enjoys spending time with her family, practicing yoga and running. She lives in Rocky River with her husband, two daughters and twin sons.

Grace Robenalt

Grace Robenalt joined The Chesler Group in 2010 after taking a break from her career to raise her children. Ms. Robenalt graduated from The Ohio State University in 1992 with a Liberal Arts Degree in Communications. She spent several years working in the banking industry for KeyBank and her experience ranges from mortgage loan officer to product and marketing manager. In her spare time, Ms. Robenalt is involved in many activities with her children and is an avid golfer and runner. Ms. Robenalt is a board member of the Magnificat High School Alumnae Board and the Westwood Women's Golf Association.

Tom Schock

Born and raised in greater Cleveland, Mr. Schock received his bachelor's degree in Accounting from Miami University and his Master of City and Regional Planning degree from The Ohio State University. For the past 10 years, he has worked with The Chesler Group focused on obtaining financing for the restoration of historic properties for a variety of non-profit clients. He has also worked as a consultant for Neighborhood Progress Inc, Midtown Cleveland, Union Miles Development Corporation and other community development corporations on the redevelopment of inner city projects. Prior to that, Mr. Schock worked with several major developers as a planner, project manager, financial analyst, and developer. With over 30 years involvement in all phases of real estate development, he has obtained an in-depth knowledge of the various tools needed to make a project a financial success.

Anke Schreiber

Anke Schreiber joined The Chesler Group in 2002. A German native, she obtained her degree in banking through Deutsche Sparkassenakademie, Institut fuer Fernstudien, Bonn in 1997. During that time she worked at a bank in her hometown near Berlin. Her financial background coupled with her passion for architecture and historic preservation has been a great fit for TCG. Ms. Schreiber mainly works on the development side of each TCG project. This includes historic nomination write ups, historic tax credit compliance and other fiscal management matters for each project. Further, Ms. Schreiber oversees the property management for TCG's existing customers. Currently, Ms. Schreiber is extending her studies in finance attending Cleveland State University as a part-time student.
